Painted
from imagination while living in the Canary Islands - probably
homesick for certain aspects of ‘Blighty’ as there were
no deckchairs like this on the island - the title seemed appropriate
as it was the book I was reading at the time - and it had to be
an empty deckchair as, to my mind, an empty throne would have
been just too surreal. Original sold.
